Directions

From Yampa, follow Cty Rd 17 NW for 5 miles to Cty Rd 132. Follow Cty Rd 132 West for 2.5 miles to the Forest boundary where it becomes National Forest System Road (NFSR) 16. Continue another 2.5 miles on NFSR 16 until you reach NFSR 940. Go South on NFSR 940 for 1.0 mile to the campground.

Attractions & Considerations

This campground offers vault toilets and 12 campsites with picnic tables and fire grates. With a beautiful view of the reservoir and the Little Flat Tops, this is a perfect place to relax.

The campground typically opens for Memorial Day and closes around September 30th, dependent on weather and use. The overnight camping fee is $5.00 per site. Sites are available on a 1st come, 1st served basis.

This campground is just off the Flat Tops Scenic Byway. Take a scenic drive, fish in the reservoir (boats with internal combustion engines prohibited) or access hiking nearby.
