From Yampa, follow Cty Rd 7 Southwest for 6.5 miles, where it becomes National Forest System Road (NFSR) 900. Continue another 8.5 miles on NFSR 900 to the campground.

Attractions & Considerations

This is a small, quiet campground. The 7 campsites have fire rings and are dispersed among the trees, lending a feeling of privacy.

The campground typically opens for Memorial Day and closes around September 30th, dependent on weather and use. The overnight camping fee is $10.00. Sites are available on a 1st come 1st served basis.

This area accesses some great fishing and hiking, and the campground is close to the Stillwater and Smith Lake trailheads. The area is surrounded by the scenic 235,000 acre Flat Tops Wilderness, so bring your camera.
