The White River National Forest is reported to be home of the largest elk herd in the United States numbering about 30,000 animals. Mule deer are also abundant in the area. The White River Area winters around 67,000 deer. Many of our experienced outfitters would be glad to guide you on a successful hunt. It is not rare to find that private ranch hunts are available in the area.
